Noses for Nature Conference: Dog Policy
We're excited to invite conference attendees to bring their dogs to work during hands-on sessions at the conference. This option allows participants the opportunity to engage in practical sessions with our esteemed presenters. All requests to bring your dog to the conference will be reviewed by the conference organizers. We will contact you to confirm your participation and with any questions we may have for you. We kindly ask that you leave dogs at home unless they are selected for a working spot.

Limited Spots Available
Please note that there will be a limited number of spots available for dogs to participate in hands-on sessions with the presenters. Presenters will personally select the dog(s) they wish to work with during their sessions.

Dog Requirements
To ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees, both human and canine, we have established the following requirements for participating dogs:

  • All dogs must be current on age-appropriate vaccinations. You will need to provide a health certificate and proof of vaccination for your dog, if you are selected to bring them.

  • Dogs should be comfortable around unfamiliar people.

  • Dogs must be at ease in the presence of other unfamiliar dogs.

  • Participating dogs must not have a history of biting people.

  • Dogs must be on-leash at all times on the premises unless explicitly granted permission to be off-leash during a supervised working session.

Important Notice
The conference organizers, presenters, and/or Search Dog Foundation staff, volunteers, and contractors reserve the right to remove any dogs from working sessions and the premises if they are deemed to be uncomfortable and/or posing a threat to other people, dogs, wildlife, and/or the facility environment.
